The winning bidder was a woman who received a seven second kiss and the kiss was planted after the bid flattened out at $37,000. (It was Charlize Theron idea to do it!!)

Christian Dior releases next generation luxury cell phones

Your lady would surely love these phones and with Christmas around the corner it could be an ideal luxury gift for your love. Christian Dior would be releasing second generation luxury phones for December 2009.

Swiss Gold Bars available off the shelf at Harrods

Here is gold raining this season at the Harrods Department Store. It has teamed up with Swiss refiner Produits Artistiques Metaux Precieux for offering gold bars weighing each at 12.5kg.

This is the first store offering gold in store and the gold bars can be purchased from the lower ground floor of the store. Even though the store hasn’t revealed the prices yet but at the current prevailing prices it will cost somewhere around $466,000.

Seems the clouds of recession are fading away.

Royal Report: Another world’s most expensive magazine?

Here is another magazine which is fighting to be counted among one of the world’s costliest magazine. This is Royal Report, a special edition of the Czech magazine which has been released with gold letters on the cover and diamonds on the alphabet R.

To be put for auction Royal Report is expected to garner $228,936. The price of Royal Report includes a yearly subscription of the magazine, four times a year vacation worldwide along with twelve hours use of a jet plane. The magazine even aims to be listed as the most expensive magazine in the world with Guinness Book of Records.

Michael Jackson's light glove goes under the hammer for £44,000

Probably it is the love and admiration for late Pop King Michael Jackson which has made me write this post.

The illuminated white glove of Michael Jackson which he wore during his 1984 Victory Tour had been put for auction. This white glove was termed as the ultimate piece of Michael Jackson memorabilia. It was made by Ted Shell for the 1984 tour in which Jackson brothers performed together for the last time.

The white glove comes adorned with Austrian crystal rhinestones and shining bugle beads. It comes fitted with fifty tiny lights which have been powered by nine volt battery in cuff along with a switch to turn them on and off. Wired on separate circuits, the glass bulb lights twinkle at random for added visual impact on stage. Finally it went under the hammer for £44,300.

Lap of Luxury: Get royal spa treatment for your dog

Pet owners who have extra money to splurge are always on the hunt for ways to pamper their pets and keeping this aspect in mind, Carrie Lane and John came up with the idea of Lap of Luxury which is a dog spa offering warm water therapy using hydrotherapy pool.

The spa treatment is such that the dogs would certainly love it. Lane has been trained in canine aquatic therapy and has certification in small animal massage and bodywork. The pool at the Lap of Luxury is multi leveled and it’s in ground pool comes with gradual slope and is 5ft 6 at its deepest level. Even the concrete floor has been heated so that it feels good for the paw of the dog. For every session meditative music is played through the speaker system at the spa which helps your pet to relax.

Lap of Luxury was built from ground up and was created keeping in mind a stress free environment for dogs. Here the dogs don’t see each other while coming in and out of the sessions. Dogs enter the front reception area where they wait until their turn and leave through the back exit. This prevents dogs from getting stressed and amped.
